I think that sometimes the best outfits happen by accident. That’s is exactly what happened with this look. I bought both the striped top and the polka dot skirt on sale, and when they were sitting on my bed next to each other I thought, hmmm, that looks pretty cute! I love mixing different patterns, and stripes and dots go really well together as long as they have one common element (in this case the white dots and white stripes). What do you think of pattern mixing?

Sarah on July 9, 2012 at 12:25 am:#1: You are so right about accidental outfits.
#2: I love this pattern mix. I am all about mixing prints (although I’m not a big fan of doing 2 or 3 different bold floral prints at once…it’s just too much for me).

Jenny on July 9, 2012 at 1:09 am:What a fabulous outfit! I just love that combination! I agree, when mixing prints, they should have something in common, otherwise it can look a little too busy, or mis-matched. You’ve done it perfectly!
