Please Leave a CommentI’m Back!!!
Hi everyone! I have been away from the blogging world for many months now, and the reason is…..I’m having a BABY! I am actually due in 3 weeks, and we are having a girl. I stopped blogging during my pregnancy because I had a really difficult first trimester, and by the time I was feeling better I got completely overwhelmed with work and getting ready for the baby. I have a lot of respect for those bloggers that can do it all and continue blogging during pregnancy, but I just couldn’t. Anyway, I LOVE sharing with you guys and I knew I would be back, so look for some new changes coming to the blog. I am redesigning it to make the pictures bigger, and adding some new cool features. I will also add some new categories to reflect the changes in my life. I hope to hear from you all and I’ve missed you! Oh, and I can’t wait to post baby pictures once she gets here=)

4 CommentsSan Diego Day 2
Our second evening in San Diego, my husband and I went to dinner with friends, and I wore my black and white printed DVF wrap dress. Diane von Furstenberg is know for making wrap dresses that hug women in all of the right places, and I really love the long version. I wore taupe heels and my taupe Chloe side satchel (mainly because those were the only accessories I packed for the trip, but luckily they go with everything!). What do you think of the dress? Check out more gorgeous DVF wrap dresses here and here.

San Diego Day 1
My husband I had a great time in San Diego with friends. The weather was unseasonably hot, but the city is so beautiful it almost didn’t matter. We stayed near the gaslamp district, which is full shops and amazing restaurants. We ate at the Seersucker and Nobu, which were great! If you like fresh seafood , you should definitely travel to SD one day. San Diego is a really casual city, so I wore a casual chic look to dinner one night. I wore a striped, bowed blouse (also seen here) and skinny jeans. I also wore my favorite new Chloe side satchel, which is great for traveling.

I can’t wait to share some more of my San Diego pictures. Have you been to San Diego? What are your favorite spots?

Please Leave a CommentFall Look: Mustard, Dots, and Pearls
Thank goodness Fall is finally here! The weather has been beautiful in Houston the last few days, and it gave me a chance to put together my first official Fall outfit. I love that mustard yellow is on trend right now, and it looks great paired with maroon, cobalt blue, and of course browns. I also love pairing it with black and white polka dots. The contrast is so much fun, but classic at the same time. I also added a pop of red with my YSL Muse bag and color-blocked heels. I also wore my Karen Walker tortoise shell sunglasses which are perfect for the fall! What do you think?

Please Leave a CommentHouston Fashion’s Night Out
I had so much fun last night at the many Fashion’s Night Out events in Houston. I started the festivities at Tootsies and West Ave and then headed to the Galleria for the Simon Fashion show. As if I wasn’t already excited enough about Fall Fashion, the Simon show had some definite swoon-worthy looks.
I wore a sheer blouse by Zhi with leather shorts and cobalt blue pumps. I accessorized with my favorite House of Harlow Sunburst pendant. I also wanted to share some of my favorite looks from the fashion show. The major trends were rich fabrics, patterns (like houndstooth which I am obsessed with), lace, sheer paneling, jewel tones, leather, and fur. Basically luxury and romance ruled the runways! Which trend are you most excited about?

Please Leave a CommentFall Trend Alert: Booties
I am so anxious for the weather to get cooler here, mainly because I want to wear some Fall fashions. One trend that I am really excited about is the return of ankle boots, or “booties.” They come in so many styles: High-heeled, flat, wedge, lace-up, Western, studded, you name it! I have been searching for the perfect black bootie for a while now, and while I was scouring the web, I decided to put together a list of my favorite booties. Which ones do you think I bought? Which one is your favorite?
From the top left: 1.Elizabeth and James 2. Seychelles 3. Tory Burch 4. Ivanka Trump 5. Melin 6. Prada (also love these)
I bought the Seychelles lace-up booties, and I can’t wait to post a look with them.
Also, tomorrow is Fashion’s Night Out, and if you live in Houston, there are tons of events going on. I will be at the Tootsies event and the Galleria events. Hope to see you there!

Please Leave a CommentFig and Mascarpone Bruschetta
One of my favorite easy appetizers to make is bruschetta, and this Fig and Mascarpone bruschetta is perfect for the end of summer, when the figs are perfectly ripe. It only takes minutes to prepare, and the result is as pretty as it is delicious.
Ingredients: Serves 4 (two pieces per person)
- 4-5 Figs (I used black mission figs)
- One loaf of dense, crusty bread (I chose French country bread)
- Mascarpone Cheese (Italian cream cheese)
- Olive Oil
- Salt and Pepper
I hope you enjoy this simple, chic recipe! Also, you can join me on my Chic Chef Facebook page here.

Please Leave a CommentFalling for Yellow
I have a new found love for the color yellow. I have always thought of it as a summer color, but this year it is a big trend for Fall. Think of it as the “neon” for this season. When I saw this dress in the store in all its yellow glory, I knew it would become a staple in my Fall wardrobe. I wanted to break up some of the yellow and give this dress a little more of an edgy feel, so I wore it with a black moto style leather jacket, and I accessorized with this amazing statement necklace by Anton Heunis. What do you think?
Dress: Banana Republic/ Jacket: Zara/ Shoes: Nine West/ Necklace: c/o Anton Heunis
I will be sharing many more looks with this necklace, because I absolutely love it! All of Anton Heunis’s pieces are hand-made in Spain, and the attention to detail is really apparent. If you love truly stunning and unique pieces, you should definitely look at Anton Heunis collection. Check out more of his designs here, and join their Facebook page here.

White peplum and Red Accents
Hi everyone! I am sorry for posting less often that usual lately. Work has been really busy, but it is slowing down now, so I can focus on fashion. I am so excited to share all of my Fall fashion finds with you all! One of my favorite recent purchases are these amazing heels from Zara. Jewel tones like deep red, purple, blue, and green are huge for fall, and these shoes combine two jewel tones beautifully. I wanted to make them the focal point of my outfit, so I wore them with a simple white peplum blouse and skinny jeans. My red YSL muse bag was the perfect partner to the shoes, and I wore a gold chain necklace to add some interest to the blouse. What do you think? I love this as a chic every-day look.
